Q:Hi - would an office chair fit comfortably on the side with the shelves without the chair (or your knees) banging against the shelf pole)? Thanks!
A:Yes. Obviously not quite as spacious on that side so don't be planning on spinning round on your chair but yes a large office chair will fit with no obstruction.

Q:Is the wood finish smooth? Or is it a sort of rough wood natural finish?
A:Hi its a smooth finish with a subtle gloss over it - I think it's wood effect and not actual wood so it has a grain effect without the textured feeling. I was really impressed for the price.

Q:What's the length of the two pieces of desk with the corner cut off?
A:length of piece with cut corner = 54.5 inches (138.5cm) on longest side, and 44.5 inches (113 cm) on shortest side. Hope that helps.
